The Distillery
Founded in Louiseville in 2014 by spirits enthusiasts inspired by the flavors and essences of the Quebec landscape, Mariana acts as a pioneer and is the largest independent distillery in Quebec. The word “Mariana” is the specific epithet in the Latin name for Black Spruce (Picea mariana), an iconic species of the Quebec boreal forest and a distinctive aromatic found in Canopée Forest Gin.
Among the first distilleries in Quebec to participate in the growing enthusiasm for local craft spirits, Distillerie Mariana quickly set itself apart. Driven by a desire to highlight the resources that define the richness of the Quebec panorama, the distillery first launched Canopée Forest Gin, which was a major success with lovers of woody dry gins.
Subsequently, the renowned Morbleu Spiced Rum was born, confirming the versatility and expertise of the Mariana team’s distillers.
The Best of Nature
A few years later, Mariana now offers a very diverse selection of gins, rums, liqueurs, and ready-to-drink cocktails. The mission: to offer premium quality products inspired by both great classics and the nature that surrounds us… off the beaten path.
