It was on the Platon promontory, just a stone’s throw from today’s post office, that Laviolette founded Trois-Rivières in 1634 by building the first fort of what would become the second-oldest Francophone city in the Americas. Perched on the upper town, the site served as a hub for the fur trade, as well as a place of learning and governance—bearing witness to the determination of the first settlers.

Velvety, silky, and lightly bitter, our oatmeal stout unfolds notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. A beer deeply rooted in history, to be savored like rereading the opening pages of a great story.
